The Role

Are you someone with a passion to help break down complex terms into simpler froms, while educating the masses on how to trade and invest? If that typo in the sentence before irked you, then you might just be who we’re looking for.

We’re on the lookout for a Content Editor that lives and breathes content, to sprinkle some magic onto our articles and ensure that they are free of errors. You will have the responsibility of managing our editorial calendar, working with both freelance writers as well as internal content writers to produce high-quality content for our clients.

As our clients are present in many different countries, you will play a part in shaping the content strategy for countries in APAC and Europe.

This role reports to the Head of Content.

Responsibilities:

• Edit, proofread and vet articles; focusing on grammar, spelling, phrasing and ensuring conformity with client’s content style guide
• Ensure all articles are factually accurate, error-free, easily understandable for the man on the street, and make a good read
• Plan the editorial calendar and ideate with both the content & SEO team on article ideas
• Prepare content briefs, manage the workload of internal writers and freelancers, assigning articles to the most suitable writer while ensuring articles are submitted on time
• Guide internal writers and help them finetune their writing
• Liaise with freelance translators to work on localising content into other languages
• Measure content performance and derive insights; strategise ways to optimise our content
• Act as the gatekeeper for our articles, ensuring that they adhere to the compliance team’s inputs, are uploaded accurately and optimised for performance
• Optimise blog content to help push products, campaigns and sign-ups when necessary

Job requirements:

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
• 2 – 4 years of editing experience, or at least 5 years as a writer
• Excellent writing capabilities, including the ability to write in a succinct manner
• Must be comfortable writing finance-related copy, particularly in forex, indices, commodities, shares and cryptocurrencies
• Familiarity with SEO and content management systems such as WordPress preferred
• Detail-oriented, meticulous and organised
• Able to multi-task and cope with multiple publications concurrently
• Highly collaborative and able to work in a fast growth environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
